I went to see Inception with my mom past Saturday. It's was freaking EPIC!!! I honestly can't remember the last time I actually enjoyed a movie this much. From start to finish. I wasn't bored at all and actually felt that the movie wasn't even that long.

Right after the movie I posted some tweets 'cause that's what I do now. So I'm just going to post them here as well, cause I still agree with them. ;)

Can I just say that Inception is one of the best movies I've seen so far in my whole life. Loved every second of it. The acting was superb..

The plot was new, risky, but extremely well written. Not to mention the graphics were beautiful. I want to see it again!!!

Leo, I've loved you since Growing Pains but I think I love you more now. JGL was amazing and so not the dorky boy that I've know from 3rd rock.

om Hardy is still Handsome Bob but a little more bad ass. Hell, I even found Ellen tolerable. Everyone go see Inception now. :)

After seeing Inception, I am in love with Leonardo DiCaprio and Joseph Gordon Levitt AGAIN. My teeny self has returned. Handsome Bob was love able too, but not as much as those other two. <3

OMG I just convinced my mom to go with me to Inception. I've been wanting to see this since I first saw the trailer, but none of my friends were able to go this week. But now my mom wants us to go on Saturday. YAYYY!!! I love my mom! <3
I've been looking on Tumblr and saw a lot of picspams already. Am trying my hardest to ignore them, cause I do not want to get spoiled. I do click on some of them when they are not spoilery and this makes me even more excited. It's been a while since I wanted to see a movie so badly. I think the last one was "Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith".

Please can it be Saturday already????

Back from my holiday. Sorry for not updating sooner, have been recovering from all that walking up and down the hills in Germany and me as a Dutchie, I'm not used to that! Walking the dog was a great workout for me there and I've lost a few pounds. Yay!! We saw a lot in those 2 weeks and had amazing, hot weather. Sucks that it always goes by so soon. :(

BTW, thanks everyone for wishing me a nice holiday. *hugs all of you!*

Other news which is WAY MORE EXCITING. AFTER 32 YEARS HOLLAND IS BACK IN THE WORLD CUP FINALE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OMG! I couldn't be happier now. On one hand I'm hoping we are getting Spain - Holland since I love Spain, on the other I'm hoping we can get a revenge on Germany (lol). I hope I don't offend anyone on my flist, but yeah... it's been 32 years since we lost in the finale from Germany. Would be nice to 'recover' from that, cause some people are still sad about it (ie. my dad.)

I'm going on a holiday with my parents for 2 weeks to Idar-Oberstein in Germany. Maybe I'll come online if I can. Maybe not. See you all in two weeks though! Auf Wiedersehen!

I'm ready for the Holland - Denmark match that will start in a few minutes. ♥ I need some WC icons though. Anyone know where to get them?

Oh btw, did not expect Germany to do that well yesterday. I thought they were going to win but not with 4 goals. It was a nice match to watch.

I've seen bits and pieces of all the games but only a few of them were really interesting. England - USA was pretty good too. Landon Donovan is a cutie. ♥ Even though I'm a huge soccer fan I sometimes still watch for the hotties, lol. :)

I've been thinking about this all day, but I don't feel so 'at home' any more on Livejournal. Lately I feel like most people just use where they can bitch and moan. I DO think that is what a blog is about, sure, but not to the point that all of your posts are just you complaining about everything that is going on with your life. That is life in general, it has its ups and downs and you just have to deal with it. How harsh that may sound. Reading posts like this everyday on my flist (and I still love you, don't get me wrong) but it doesn't make me want to visit LJ that much any more. Hence my lack of comments towards those entries cause I just don't know what to say.

Sometimes I wish I was more involved in the fandom that exist on the World Wide Web, just because its more lighter material to read then your every day 'problems'. The thing is though, I occasionally read fics but I don't really enjoy them. Some of them are good, but some of them are so unbelievably over the top, that I have trouble 'understanding' them. As in, I just can't see that character behave that way. And that's what kills it for me. I've read pretty bad fics and afterwards I just regretted spending that much time on finishing the story, that now, I'm pretty much ignoring everything.

This also results in me not writing anything slashy. I feel like I lack in the creative (slash/fic)writing or just slashing posts in general about tv characters, or how much I love this particular actor from this particular show. So whenever I want to write about how much I love an episode, because there are times where I do want to do a proper post about a tv show I've watched... but I can never get any further then OMG! I <3 ...!!! Even after having this screen open for hours I still can't get a proper character analyse about my favorite tv show or movie that I just love. Somehow I have trouble wording it properly and writing it down. Probably because I DO want to be funny, witty, intelligent and likeable, so I start over thinking and then my brain just shuts down.

I don't know why that is. It surely isn't because English is not my 1st language, because if I have to write about it in Dutch, I will have the same problems.

I just wanted to clarify all that, because I do not want to let you guys down. I want you to know what kind of person I am, even if it's the boring kind. I read a few new friending memes and most of them want to be friends with people who are big on fandom and write fic, squee about everything in a incredibly witty way and are just an assertive person overall. If you are looking for that kind of person, then I suggest to keep looking cause that's not me.

Most shows are on hiatus/break right now and unfortunately some are cancelled (ex. Trauma ;__;). New seasons are starting in September or even later then that, so that will leave me plenty of time to catch up on other shows that I've been wanting to see for months.

The following shows already ended and won't come back:
Lost: currently watching season 2 and I plan to watch all 6 seasons.
The Shield: about to watch season 5 and I plan to watch all 7 seasons.
The Wire: about to watch the last season (5).
Avatar: The Last Airbender: about to watch the first episode.
Alias: I've got season 1 on dvd but I think I will save this for at the end of the year.
The Sopranos: Will watch this with my parents. Probably start watching when we are on vacation at the end of June. Already bought all six seasons on dvd for my father. :)
FYI: I do NOT watch these shows all at once. I want to focus on one show (or maybe just one season) and then move on to the next show.

Currently on hiatus:
Fringe: currently watching season 2 (episode 8)

Watching what is still on the air:
Justified: I am currently at episode 9.
Criminal Minds: Waiting for the newest episode.
CSI: New York: Waiting for the newest episode.

Shows on break:
Life Unexpected
Cougar Town
The Big Bang Theory
The Vampire Diaries
Modern Family
Friday Night Lights

Might stop watching / already stopped:
Glee (haven't seen the last 4 episodes)
How I Met Your Mother (stopped watching at episode 14)
The Big Bang Theory (did not like season 3 at all)
Life Unexpected (first few episodes were fun but after that, it was all the same, so will see what season 2 brings.)
CSI: New York: It's getting kind of boring. :(

Shows that start later this year:
Sons of Anarchy
True Blood: Might save this show so I can watch everything back to back.
Entourage: I always save this show so I can marathon it.

New shows that interest me:
Hawaii Five-0
I will wait with watching new shows, because if I start loving it, there's a chance it will get cancelled again.

What about you? What shows are you watching or planning to?

[edit] I think I've edited this entry about 5 times already. Keep forgetting shows. Maybe it is a sign that I watch to much tv. :/

Gosh, sometimes I hate Dutch fandom. There's this huge Dutch forum which has a section towards TV shows and there's a discussion about The Pacific. Let's just say that there are really stupid people on that forum.
They can't seem to understand what the characters are going through and they keep saying that everything has been exaggerated (the bombing) and that the war isn't realistic (how the Japs hardly put up a fight?!?!?!).
They can't seem to understand the reason (or lack there off) of some of the actions the marines do and they just bitch about it that they can't feel a connection with any of them.
And on top of that, even after 9 episodes, they are STILL comparing it to Band of Brothers. All this makes me angry. I should just stop visiting that board because they can't seem to understand any of it. I'm lucky that I can visit Tumblr and the amazing peeps on there with their amazing picspams. ♥

A lot of shows have their finale next week and now I'm wondering what other shows are going to be airing. Does anyone know if there is a list somewhere? I know True Blood is starting in June, but anything else? Cause if not, maybe then I can finally catch up with Fringe & Lost. :D

The past few days I've been watching episodes of The War at Home just because hottie Rami Malek (Snafu from The Pacific) is in it. There are moments were I regret making that decision cause seriously, that show is so bad. I liked Michael Rapaport a little in Prison Break but in The War at Home he is really annoying and overly active. I wish he would stop with all his hands & arm movements. Cutie Rami makes up for it though, I just love how awkward and sarcastic he can be. The only downside is that he doesn't appear in every episode and when he does, it's only for a few minutes. :(
Does anyone know if season 2 is better?

Today it's Remembrance of the Death in Holland and something happened. I wasn't watching the ceremony but I read on Twitter that something was going on during the 2-minute silence. So I went downstairs to watch and seriously, what is wrong with people these days?

Turns out a guy started screaming in the middle of that 2-minute silence. He was stretching his arms and talking in an unintelligibly language. The man got arrested and people started panicking. A second man was also arrested because he dropped a suitcase in the middle of the crowd.
I haven't been able to find an English translation yet but here you can find a video of what happened. Do people not have respect any more these days?

I got really upset watching it on television even though I knew what happened. I just can't believe you would actually do something like this? I guess nothing is sacred any more...
